2010 W5YM University WeatherNet Washington County Spotter's Guide
Submitted by KF5CHT on Tue, 01/26/2010 - 23:48After a very informative and successful spotter training class earlier this week, we are proud to offer the newly updated spotters reference guide for members involved in the W5YM University WeatherNet. As of January 5th, new changes have been made regarding the criteria by which hail is classified as severe, and having this guide handy will help spotters accurately report "ground truth" conditions.
From the guide:

Weather
Standby Mode - Tulsa NWS has issued a watch for Washington County, but weather has not approached our western neighbor counties in Oklahoma. This is the time to make contacts with spotters and preset the location of mobile spotters. Make this announcement every 30 minutes on the hour and on the half hour when there are no reports coming in.
