Welcome to W5YM
These photos are from the original Science and Engineering location on the eighth floor. The entire building is currently in retrofit.

The "original" W5YM operating console. Station includes HF, VHF, Packet, RTTY, and satellite capabilities. Main radio equipment is Kenwood TS430 and TS790.



Dual band VHF satellite antenna array. These are dynamically controlled by a computer using InstaTrack software. In addition to working amateur satellites, W5YM has worked the Russian MIR space station as well as many US Space Shuttles.

The main tower tops out at over 70 feet above the 7-story Science Engineering Building. A TH6DXX antenna is mounted on the top.
